"Seriously the best cloud storage option out there!!!"
Q: What were my doubts before trying out the service
Ease of use and functionality... for the price, compared to other products out there in the market, I was concerned that it wouldn't be all that it's cracked up to be. After trying it, I really feel that pCloud gives you the most bang for your buck. It integrates well with my iMac and apps on my phone and you can store literally any kind of file with no restrictions which is exactly what I needed as a creative professional. You can set up as many folders as you like and organize like crazy. The only thing missing is the ability to color code folders and files to take the organization a step further. Pcloud far surpassed my expectations as far as how easy it to use on my computer and all of my mobile devices.
Q: How do I use the platform
Honestly, I use it for a little bit of everything. I store my pictures and videos on it as a third back-up option, i keep pdfs and projects that I want to do with my kids on it so I can print them out whenever I need them. I'm currently scrapbooking my daughter's first year of preschool with the Project Life app on my iPhone. I store all the pictures I get from teacher, scans of all the artwork she does, and anything else I might want to include in that book in individual folders on pCloud. I can easily retrieve anything I store in those folders to use in that app which is awesome! I even back up my pages from the app to a folder on the pCloud just in case anything happens to the app. I use lot of .psd files or .ai files that I just can't integrate with my photos in icloud, and the pricing with pCloud is soooo much better. Seriously, pCloud has helped me get my photo life together and it has given me peace of mind. Haha!
Q: Does it make my life easier
Heck yes! I don't have to drag around 100 flash drives with me anymore. I still back up everything up to a hard drive because I have been a victim of data loss before. But to be able open an app on my phone to view whatever it is I need in an instant is truly awesome. I'm way more organized, I'm not constantly freaking out about something happening to my photos and videos and projects and plans. Because I'm not wasting so much energy worrying all the time, I actually get things done!
Q: What is my favorite part / feature
That's a tough one... There were two things that really sold me on pCloud in the first place. First was the fact that the data is store on multiple servers. Like I said before, I'm a victim of data loss so that was extremely important to me. Second, you can upload any file type and/or size with no restrictions. As a mother of two adorable little kids, I take a lot of videos and trying to find affordable cloud storage for those without restriction is not an easy task. I also wanted something that I could store all of my files in, not just my photos a videos. I'm a photo retoucher/graphic designer so I use a lot of .psd, .ai, and .indd files. I really like pCloud because I can keep all of that together in one place and access it whenever I need it on just about any mobile device.
Q: Did I already recommend the service to a friend or would I?
I haven't recommended it to a friend yet, only because most of the people in my area are not as in to this stuff as I am. It's a very rural area and believe it or not, some people around still don't even have internet to their houses! I do talk to my dad about it quite a bit because he is interested in that kind of stuff. He always give me all of his pictures and videos anyways though, so I guess you say I just back his data up for him.
I would definitely recommend pCloud to a friend if somebody asked me. I literally have had zero problems with it so far and it had made so many things in my life easier. It keeps getting better every day too. The morning I woke up to the email that gives you an option to buy 2TB of cloud storage for life for $250 was seriously the best day I've had in a while! I kept putting off buying an actual subscription because I didn't want to add another monthly subscription to my monthly bills. Just this past week, pCloud announced the extended file history with file retention up to a year after you delete it. Seriously, it's like you guys read my mind and know exactly what it is that I want in my cloud storage service. I would be more than happy to tell people all about pCloud and why they should try it.
